Are you interested in a Master’s in Computer Science (CS) but lack a Bachelor’s degree in the field? Traditional Master’s programs usually require a related undergraduate degree, making entry challenging for career-changers. You can pursue these options sometimes by completed extensive pre-requisites, additional coursework, pre-degree coursework, and more. However, programs like Qwasar’s College of Engineering offer flexible, skills-focused alternatives, allowing you to earn a Master’s in Computer Science without a Bachelor’s degree.
Traditional Requirements for a CS Master’s
Most Master’s programs in the U.S. have steep pre-requisites that don’t evaluate a person’s coding or learning ability:
This route may leave many career-changers with additional hurdles, such as:

Qwasar is the only college of engineering to allow you to benefit from your experience in programming and software engineering: we count this in the admissions process.
Admissions is not based on standardized test scores, GPA, or letters of recommendation but on your skills, ability, technical portfolio, and coding assignments.
Admittance without a Bachelor’s degree means going through Performance-based Admissions. This means you’ll receive a conditional offer of admission to the Master’s degree program. You will be required to complete at least 25% of the Master’s degree curriculum while maintaining a grade of 90% or above. As long as you achieve this, you will be fully admitted to the program and can continue studying.
Qwasar’s project-based, collaborative model equips students with real-world skills. Here’s how it differs from traditional programs:
Qwasar simplifies the application process:
For those without a traditional CS background, Qwasar’s Master’s in Computer Science provides a skills-focused, accessible path. If you’re ready to build in-demand tech skills, Qwasar’s program might be your ideal choice.
