Qwasar announced a new Master's degree, new shorter learning courses, more flexible learning options, and longer pathways at Qwasar. The announcement comes as an adjustment to our traditional programs to better serve working learners and software professionals.
We're excited for the launch of new, shorter courses in software engineering, data science, machine learning, and full stack development. Our new courses are specifically designed with the modern learner in mind, aligning perfectly with contemporary preferences for flexibility, personalization, and efficiency.
Courses can now be stacked and combined into Pathways for career switchers - these reflect our old longer program offerings. Our new courses offer a focused approach to acquiring in-demand engineering skills. This allows us to serve a wider audience, and to focus on applied engineering at the highest level.
This approach not only fits seamlessly with our mission as a modern college of engineering, but also paves the way for us to expand into more advanced learning areas and subjects in the future, such as AI for GPU and Kernel, Advanced Rust for Game Development, or Extreme C++. By offering these condensed courses, we aim to bridge the skills gap, ensuring our learners stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation within their organizations.
The demand for skilled programmers across diverse industries is at an all-time high. Our shorter courses address this challenge head-on, providing an accelerated learning model to equip professionals with the programming skills they need – fast.
This program breaks down complex concepts into manageable, digestible sections directly aligning with current industry needs. The concise content ensures you acquire essential skills faster than traditional computer science degrees or bootcamps, which can span 1-4 years.
Except for the Self-Learning Upskill course, all courses have optional office hours, small group support sessions, and 1:1 time with the Program Manager. In addition, all courses have dedicated instructor support via Discord.

The more we speak with engineers and developers in industry, the more they love our platform, how we've built it, and that they get to code rather than watch lectures or videos.
Engineers are doers - they like building, making, fixing, and coding.
We very much feel that there are not great offerings for senior engineers and above. The best you can get if you want to learn Advanced C++ is a set of lectures on Coursera, Udemy, or Udacity - but good engineers know that you get good at a language by using it on larger and complex projects, not on simple, short exercises.
We've been training engineers for a while, and we're known for training people to Silicon Valley standards - so we're continuing to do what we're good at and adjusting and expanding our offerings to cater to the developers and engineers looking to upskill while earning a certificate.
Courses are recommended for:
1. Software professionals, career switchers, or Computer Science graduates, with a solid foundation in software engineering looking to upskill - our affordable and efficient programs provide a clear and accelerated pathway to success.
Learner benefits:
2. Organizations seeking to upskilling their employees in a particular area - for example, Rust. Our courses can help you rapidly equip their engineers with targeted skills, competencies, and programming languages. There is only one way they will get good at the given language: by coding! Companies want efficient engineers, and we help them become efficient quickly in ways that other courses simply do not.
Courses are not recommended for:
This program takes an "own your learning" problem-based learning approach, mirroring the real-world work environment. This involves actively finding solutions, experimenting, and building software collaboratively.
